In public Transavia documentation, there is no mention that blindness is the only disability recognized by Transavia airlines

That is the biggest issue. Nowhere did they define assistant dogs. And their site suggests that as long as they are certified, they'd be recognized as such.

Exactly. You nailed it. If their documentation stated that they don't allow service dogs, or certain types of service dogs, they should state this clearly, as they did about emotional support dogs. I've been in contact with a company representative who now assures me we will receive a full refund of air fare, including the extras. If this is the case, I can be appeased. But that doesn't change the fact that they need to take a hard look at the website data and modify it accordingly.
