RE: The London Eye - London, England
Well, I learned something from this post -- that the London Eye is not a regular ferris wheel ... but one that goes very slowly around. I might be able to stand that. I'm a terrible wuss when it comes to carnival rides. The merry-go-round is about all I'm willing to risk. I've tried some of the others enough to know I never want to do that again!!.
I told The Weasel (who used to live in London) that the cost of this thing was $30. His exact reply, "Holy crap!!"
I'm glad you thought it was worth it ... but you probably saved me the regrets of wondering if I might. I enjoy the tales of your travels, but traveling was never one of my passions -- for many reasons. Some of them have to do with the awful inconvenience of travel itself. Some to do with the hazards of journeys in foreign lands. I won't bore you with the details. I'll just keep reading your posts -- and calling that sufficient to my requirements.
I love to travel. It is a great passion of mine. But I have, indeed, had issues when traveling that have caused a lot of inconvenience. But not often. For me, the enjoyment is worth the inconvenience. Thanks for commenting!
