Ancient Pompeii. Italy

The Forum of Pompeii originally occupied the central part in the city. However, the city grew, and by the time of the eruption the forum was located in the south-western part of the city.
Here temples, a market and the most important public buildings were located.
Surrounded by two rows of columns, the forum in Pompeii had two entrances, on which triumphal arches were erected.
