The churches, a place of worship for the most part, have always been very important buildings that testify to the faith of a people but also their culture, their architecture and their art.

All the important moments of an individual's life are celebrated in the church. Baptism at birth, marriage, death funeral. Churches often enclose true treasures as painted statues and are always considered an important part of the monumental heritage of a locality. In some cases, as in many villages in my region, they are the only recognizable monument!

When in the Middle Ages the villages were depopulated and abandoned, the churches remained to witness the existence of this community that had moved and still today we see these open country churches that are completely isolated and which are witness to ancient villages now disappeared.
In some cases, however, the faithful return to the abandoned church at least once a year to celebrate their saint with celebrated holiday features that last for several days. They are the characteristics of countryside festivals in my region

Chiese di Sardegna.

Le chiese, luogo di culto per eccellenza, sono sempre stati edifici molto importanti che testimoniano la fede di un popolo ma anche la loro cultura, la loro architettura e la loro arte. Tutti i momenti importanti della vita di un individuo sono celebrati in chiesa. Il battesimo alla nascita, il matrimonio , il funerale alla morte.

Spesso le chiese racchiudono veri e propri tesori come statue dipinti e sono sempre considerati parte importante del patrimonio monumentale di un abitato. In alcuni casi, come in molti villaggi della mia regione sono l’unico monumento immediatamente riconoscibile! Quando nel medioevo i villaggi si spopolavano e venivano abbandonati, le chiese rimanevano a testimoniare l’esistenza di questa comunità che si era spostata e, ancora oggi, vediamo queste chiese in aperta campagna che sono completamente isolate e che, appunto, testimoniano antichi villaggi ormai scomparsi.
In alcuni casi invece i fedeli ritornano nella chiesa abbandonata almeno una volta all’anno per festeggiare il loro santo con delle caratteristiche feste molto seguite che durano anche diversi giorni. Sono le caratteristiche feste campestri della mia regione
