Did you know that the UK is one of the least wooded areas in Europe at 13%? The world is also at least 30% by total land cover. It's a shame that we are cutting it down in places at such an alarming rate as they are hotpots for a huge wealth of biodiversity. But anyway! Here are a couple of shots of the human planted forests of Thetford. Historically there were no woods here at all, until we started taking forestry seriously after chopping so much down during times of strife during the last 1000 years. This place is a huge coniferous forest and is wonderful to walk through. There are all kinds of activity centres too, from dog sledding to zip lining. Woods (especially the ancient variety) are my happiest place.

What's your nature happy place? Have you visited the UK's forests? (New Forest being an awesome place). Do comment or upvote. If you like drone photography then please follow :)
