Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is a large city known for its lavishly decorated temples and crowded streets. The Chao Phraya river, crossed by many boats, feeds a network of canals and crosses the royal district of Rattanakosin, home to the sumptuous Grand Royal Palace and its sacred temple of Wat Phra Kaew.
