Strolling Through Downtown Charleston at Night, Seance Anyone?
Given a choice between a magnificent view carved out by Mother Nature or structures made by man; well I'm a girl who can sit by a river, a waterfall, a lake, the ocean, or under a tree in the middle of the woods for hours on end so I'll take the former nine times out of ten.
But there are times I like the shock of energy created by tens of thousands of people all crammed together in one place. Like what you might find at a concert, a festival, or a convention...and I even, on occasion, enjoy the greater energy created by the hundreds of thousands of people that populate a city such as Charleston.
After all, where else are you going to find odd little stores like Indigo-
Calm down Shaun...
...it's just a play on words
-or imposing buildings where ghosts may lurk-
or rock and gem shops appealing to the crow like tendencies in some-
-that have random cool stuff like cave bear paws on display.
And where else are you going to step out of a gem shop and into an ice cream shop-
then find your name sake on a store window three doors down?
Really, where else can you find signs that make you scratch you head- (are they actually saying not to poop here??)
...Or capture a picture of the black eye you got from face planting while rollerblading...oh yeah, you could probably do that anywhere if you're me and prone to accidents:)
Seriously, where else do you get window shopping like this?
And you will definitely struggle to find this set up on the sidewalk of a small town outside of October-
Unfortunately I did not capture the woman(witch?) in the old fashioned flowing dress who peeked out at us from a doorway...seance perhaps?
And even more unfortunate- the pics I took of the street corner doomsday preacher in the cowboy hat did not come out- "The End of the World is Near!" I wanted to tell him "The word is NIGH dipshit, if you're going to do it, do it right!". (Maybe I should have let him know about the cultish activities a couple streets over? That would be entertaining... "Turn to the Lord and be saved!"..."I hex you and your Lord!")
All in all a fascinating excursion into the city at night. What will the daylight bring?
Cabin Porn, funny. I love these pictures and I once lived in West Virginia and loved it. Awesome stroll. Upvoted. Resteemed.
Ha, I thought so too ;) Thank you! I went to West Virginia for a four day girl's getaway last year, white water tubing was awesome!
:)
Exciting.
Owch black eye O_O do you not roll into your falls? XD Gla dit didn't incapacitate you and you could still go out and fun and take cool pics ;D
Yay, someone caught that haha. Usually I roll into my falls, even when I'm not on blades I've become such an expert faller, but this time it was at a roller rink where they didn't wax the floor right or something, I was gliding along and suddenly it was sticky and I went from gliding to full stop to face!
Accident prone means I'm so used to this shit it never stops me :)
I love Charleston.... and Savannah Georgia

Charleston is definitely cool, as long as you don't interact with the locals too much- man there were some serious pricks. Coming from NY and hearing about 'southern hospitality' pffttt, I'm calling bullshit, northerners are wayyy friendlier!
I've only been to Atlanta, I'll take your word for it :)
Looks like a very interesting place to visit
