Viajar. Viajar es otra de mis pasiones. Igual es porque soy Sagitario y ya se sabe que los nacidos bajo este signo no pueden parar ni un segundo, les gusta aprender y sobre todo, conocer nuevos lugares. Pues bien, me identifico con eso.

Travel. Traveling is another of my passions. The same is because I am Sagittarius and it is already known that those born under this sign can not stop for a second, they like to learn and above all, to know new places. Well, I identify with that.

Uno de los viajes más recientes que he hecho fue en enero de 2017. Destino: Roma.

Roma es espectacular. No tengo más palabras.

Estuve durante 5 días y 4 noches. Pero, no es suficiente. Así que tendré que volver.

One of the most recent trips I made was in January 2017. Destination: Rome.

Rome is spectacular. I have no more words.

I was there for 5 days and 4 nights. But it's not enough. So I'll have to go back.

DÍA 1: LLEGADA A ROMA

La verdad es que el primer día fue sólo de viaje. Nuestro vuelo fue tarde y llegamos a Roma sobre las 22 de la noche. Lógicamente, buscamos enseguida nuestro B&B que había reservado junto a la famosa estación de tren Termini. Y en cuanto dejamos las cosas en la habitación nos dispusimos a buscar un lugar para cenar a esas horas.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ROME

The truth is that the first day was just traveling. Our flight was late and we arrived in Rome around 10pm at night. Logically, we immediately searched for our B & B that I had booked next to the famous Termini train station. And as soon as we left things in the room we set out to find a place to dine at that time.

¡Bendito Tripadvisor! Encontramos una pizzería en un barrio próximo a nuestro alojamiento donde pudimos degustar una maravillosa pizza casera con bebida. Salimos a 18 euros entre los dos. Así que puedo decir que empezamos bastante bien.

Blessed Tripadvisor! We found a pizzeria in a neighborhood near our accommodation where we could taste a wonderful homemade pizza with drink. We left at 18 euros between the two. So I can say that we started pretty well.

Deseando estábamos de empezar a recorrer esta ciudad cuya fama era infinita.

Wishing we were to start touring this city whose fame was endless.

DÍA 2: COLISEO, FORO ROMANO Y PALATINO (MAÑANA Y TARDE)

Llegó el día de empezar y, por supuesto, decidimos visitar primero uno de los monumentos más famosos de la ciudad: El Coliseo Romano.

No obstante, para la gente que no ha ido todavía (puesto que espero que lo hagáis), antes de visitar, en la misma estación Termini podéis adquirir la "Roma Pass". Había diferentes pero nosotros escogimos la de 72h porque nos acoplaba más a lo que queríamos. Además, adquiriéndola, tienes los primeros dos monumentos gratis y luego un 20% de descuento en los demás, sino recuerdo mal. E incluye todos los viajes en transporte público (metro y bus) durante el tiempo que te dura la pass.

DAY 2: COLISEO, ROMAN FORUM AND PALATINO (MORNING ANF AFTERNOON)

The day came to start and, of course, we decided to visit first one of the most famous monuments of the city: The Roman Colosseum.

However, for people who have not gone yet (since I hope you do), before visiting, at the same Termini station you can buy the "Roma Pass". There were different but we chose the 72h because it coupled us more to what we wanted. Also, by acquiring it, you have the first two free monuments and then a 20% discount on the others, but I remember badly. And it includes all trips by public transport (metro and bus) during the time the pass lasts.

Y como los dos primeros monumentos eran gratis con la pass, decidimos ir al Coliseo, al Foro Romano y al Palatino lo primero porque cuenta como un solo monumento y era de los más caros.

And since the first two monuments were free with the pass, we decided to go to the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine first because it counts as a single monument and was one of the most expensive.

Aquí os dejo con alguna fotografía (pongo alguna porque hice millones) de mi paso por estos monumentos.

Una vez acabada la visita del Coliseo, toca el Foro Romano y el Palatino. Debo añadir, que como principiantes en esta ciudad, no alquilamos una guía por lo que no nos enteramos de gran cosa ese día. No obstante, aprendimos para los días siguientes.

Once the visit of the Colosseum is finished, touch the Roman Forum and the Palatine. I must add, that as beginners in this city, we did not rent a guide so we did not learn much about that day. Nevertheless, we learned for the following days.

Aunque el Coliseo es impresionante, me quedo con el Foro Romano. Estuvimos toda la mañana y parte de la tarde. ¿Cuál fue nuestro error? No llevar nada para beber ni comer durante el tiempo que estuvimos recorriendo cada parte. Salimos a las 16 horas de allí sin comer ni beber. Eso sí, encontramos un sitio espectacular para comer. Un sitio pequeño pero que hacían unos bocadillos italianos impresionantes.

Although the Coliseum is impressive, I prefer the Roman Forum. We stayed all morning and part of the afternoon. What was our mistake? Do not take anything to drink or eat during the time we were touring each part. We left at 4:00 PM there without eating or drinking. Of course, we found a spectacular place to eat. A small place but they made some awesome Italian sandwiches.

DÍA 2: PANTEÓN, FONTANA DE TREVI ... (POR LA TARDE-NOCHE)

Una vez comidos y habiendo probado un helado italiano, nos dimos una vuelta por los alrededores encontrándonos con otros lugares maravillosos. Entre ellos, el Panteón y la Fontana de Trevi.

DAY 2: PANTHEON, FONTANA DE TREVI ... (IN THE AFTERNOON-NIGHT)

Once eaten and having tasted an Italian ice cream, we took a walk around finding other wonderful places. Among them, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain.

Por supuesto, en la Fontana, hice lo que debía hacer: tirar una moneda y pedir un deseo.

Una vez acabado el paseo nocturno, decidimos volver a la habitación a descansar. Esos días auguraban cansados y necesitábamos reponer fuerzas.

Of course, at the Fontana, I did what I had to do: toss a coin and make a wish.

Once finished the night walk, we decided to return to the room to rest. Those days predicted tired and needed to regain strength.
