if you ever get a chance to come to the north of Vietnam, you must go to Ha Giang and cross the Ma Pi Lang Pass... its by far the most amazing road in Vietnam, if not Asia...check out my blog @dragonator .... i will try to sneak in some pics of my motobike trips soon
I made it up north, but my visa was running out. I tried to get an extension at the immigration office in Ha Giang, but they said they couldn't do it. I ended up having to run to Vientine for a new visa. When I returned to Vietnam, I never went back up north.
My next trip to Vietnam, I want to fly into Hanoi and tour the north for a couple of weeks (at least).
