170 million euro investment in the Albanian Alps
Albanian Alps will become even more attractive for foreign tourists in the years to come. The Albanian government is planning to invest over 170 million euros in roads, services and accommodation facilities in the area.
In this way the government is trying to open the way to the tourist development of one of the most beautiful areas of Albania, but also the most emblematic cities of northern Albania, Shkodra.
Closed to tourists for about five decades until the early 1990s, Albania offers a miscellaneous picture of coastal and mountain tourism and has been attracting more and more foreign tourists in the past decade being nicknamed as “A new Mediterranean love” and “Europe’s last secret.”
