Black swans from New Zeland! ๐ฆ ๐
Before the arrival of the Mฤori in New Zealand, the New Zealand swan had developed there, but was apparently hunted to extinction. Currently, the living black swans come from Australia. Some scientists believe that the New Zealand and Australian species were very closely related.
Black swans can also be found in western Europe where they were brought from Australia. However, they do not live wild except for a few birds.
They look similar to the blue heron here, except those swan's eyes are red. Pretty cool stuff.
Eyes are very interesting, I do not know other birds with such eyes.
I saw them too when I visited New Zealand in 2014! Beautiful animals! :)
Yes, very beautiful! :)
@borran what do you think about NZ?
Well, I traveled around the world in 2014 and NZ was my favorite! I love the nature that they have there! :)

Thanks!

Have good time my dear friend
Thanks!
They are great๐ค I've never seen black swans like this
beautiful birds make a huge impression when you see them live
I believe you
Interesting, this is my first time to know that Black Swan existed.
I'm glad you found out about them from my post.
It's a shame that rare animal species always end up in extinction only for the amusement of the hunters, likewise is a great photograph
Thanks @gvand. People are a dangerous species. It's time to wake up and change the menu and habits, it's best to start with yourself ;)
Very beautiful! And beaks such red, as if they
painted their, to more attract to itself attention ))
Excellent photos, @dominik.homa
Yes, It's true, that birds are very beautiful!
Beautiful black swans, my husband was in NZ and Australia years ago and said it is mostly black swans there but up in Europe it is another way around, we see more white. I love both of htem.
YOu captured them very well especially you can even see the drops of water on their feather.
