"Health Passports" Might Become a New Trend

in #travel4 years ago

As various airlines and tourism officials from around the world consider how they are going to make changes from the current no-fly travel trend we have been seeing, a variety of suggestions have been made. One of them is a 'travel bubble' arrangement between certain countries that would allow for people in those areas to go back and forth with less of a hassle, rather than going back to full travel like we might be used to, to anywhere around the world.

Health Passports Coming Soon?

Another suggestions is that health passports might soon become commonplace, which would streamline some method for disclosing which travels don't have the coronavirus.

The new health passports wouldn't replace current passports as we know them, although biometric identification is helping do move us in that direction still, but the idea is that the health passports would be some sort of paperwork that went along in addition to those other papers that travelers are forced to hand over.

More paperwork? Not going to be an appealing idea to some, although if it gets you the travel freedom you are looking for then there will be those who will endure.

It's alleged that the Italian island of Sardinia might become the first region to test this new health passport paperwork out, by sometime this summer. This means that anyone who wants to visit the region will have to prove and provide their health credentials.
