Heute möchte ich euch mit meinem Beitrag einen kleinen Einblick verschaffen, der euch zeigen soll welche außergewöhnlichen Kulturstädte ich in meiner aktiven Montage Zeit als Servicetechniker für Gießereianlagen aufsuchen konnte. In der Mitte der 90er gab es im Reich der Mitte einen starken Boom an Zukauf von Gießereiprodukten. Durch meine Tätigkeit als Servicetechniker, musste ich die Inbetriebnahmen bei den Kunden Vorort durchführen. In der wenigen freien Zeit die ich hatte, nutze ich die Möglichkeit die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden.
Eine dieser Sehenswürdigkeiten ist der Stone Forest von Shilin. Der Steinwald oder Shilin ist eine bemerkenswerte Ansammlung von etwa 500 km2 großen Kalksteinformationen im autonomen Bezirk Shilin Yi, Provinz Yunnan, Volksrepublik China. Genaugenommen 90Km von der Provinzhauptstadt Kunming entfernt liegt dies Felsformation. Shilin umfasst eine Fläche von 400 km² und gliedert sich in sieben landschaftliche Gebiete. Aufgrund der komplexen Information über den Stone Forest, habe ich mich dazu entschlossen meinen Beitrag in zwei Teile zu präsentieren. Im ersten Teil beschränke ich mich auf das Grundwissen und im zweiten Teil werde ich etwas genauer auf die Geschichte und den Hintergrund des Stone Forest eingehen.
Dennoch hoffe ich, dass ich euer Interesse für dieses kulturelle Sehenswürdigkeit geweckt habe.

Today I would like to give you a little view insight with my contribution, which should show you which extraordinary cultural cities I could visit in my active assembly time as a service technician for foundry plants. In the middle of the nineties there had been a strong boom in the purchase of foundry products in china. Due to my job as a service technician, I had to carry out the commissioning at the customer's suburb. In the few free time I had, I use the opportunity to take a closer look at the sights .
One of these attractions is the Stone Forest of Shilin. The Stone Forest or Shilin is a remarkable collection of approximately 500 km2 of limestone formations in the Shilin Yi Autonomous Region, Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China. Actually 90Km away from the provincial capital Kunming is this rock formation. Shilin covers an area of 400 km² and is divided into seven scenic areas. Due to the complex information about the Stone Forest, I have decided to present my contribution in two parts. In the first part I limit myself to the basic knowledge and in the second part I will go into the history and the background of the Stone Forest.
I hope, however, that I have sparked your interest in this cultural attraction.
