Tian Tan Buddha, Hong Kong
Hi Steemit
This is Tian Tan Buddha. It can be visited through climbing stairs from Ngong Ping Village. The stairs are quite high and can be challenging for some people
The entrance
The many steps up
People walking the stairs
Tian Tan Buddha was openned in 1996
At the top there are other statues facing the Buddha
We made it to the top
The view from the top
The orange roof is Po Lin Monastery viewed from the top
The cable cars are visible too
We saw a dog walking around
It was great to see the Tian Tan Buddha very close and walking the stairs was worth it as the view was very nice on the top
@djohan,
Bro your 1st photography reminds me my daily meditation series! I have used this type of photography to share Lord Buddha's quotes! This is amazing! I will definitely go there! Thanks for sharing this great travel experience with us!
Cheers~
thank you theguruasia, yes it feels very peaceful especially with the natural surrounding and blue sky
Great place to visit!
Thank you emilymichelle. A must visit when travelling to Hongkong
Its just unreal looks like a must visit place, that one statue looks huge !
Thank you bitcoinman. Yes it is huge and located in mountain top
Thank you for sharing your new trip photos. I can only imagine what it took to build this and how long. Like many of your trips, these temples and other monuments had to have started with a vision and reason :-)
Thank you floridanow. In the past it must have taken very long, but maybe the new ones are pretty quick like the new bridge connecting Hong Kong Macao and mainland China. Both amazing, old ones must be years to make with lots of labor involved, new ones quick with great technology involved
good to see the tian tan buddha...my chinese friend just show the photos about this temple...very interesting to visit
Thank you julee. Yes it was very interesting to visit. The view is very nice from the top
Wow. it was incredible..!!!
I'm glad I can see the Tian Tan Buddha statue up close, and see the scenery around it.
It seems like it takes a struggle to reach the top, through many stairs. Lol :)
thank you amuchtar, yes some older people had to stop for a rest before continuing to go up. It was good exercise and the view was nice at the top
That dog looks like it could be a Shiba Inu mix. I love the Dogecoin doge!
Hope you and your family have been receiving the ultimate zen and good luck.
thank you kevbot, i met that dog again or a similar one when we went down, and then it nearly bit me when i tried to touch, but luckily i have quick reflex and he missed. lol.
the cutest shiba inu was from Japan's PM given to Putin, which he rejected. what a shame they can be ferocious!
I saw that video on youtube. The dog is smart too
