Miyajima island

We went to visit Miyajima island. It is one of the most beautiful place in Japan. It is near to Hiroshima. So if you are visiting Hiroshima you must visit Miyajima Island
The famous Tori gate. It is on the beach. In the day time we can go near the gate . During night time the water rises .
It can be reached by a ferry from Miyajimaguchi station . Around 25 minutes train ride from central Hiroshima. If you have a JR pass, you don't need to buy another ferry ticket
Deers on Miyajima island
There are deers living on the island and can be found walking around everywhere on the island

5 storied pagoda
Mount Misen
Another place to visit while on the island is Mount Misen. You can walk up or you can take the ropeway. It closed at 5 pm. So you should plan your time

There is another 20 minutes walk to reach the top from this station and there are a few temples and observation deck at the top which we didn't go as time was limitted

There are shops and food vendors throughout the island. There are also hotels and cafes.
