The Hong Kong experience
Introduction
During my 5 month stay in China I’ve had plenty of opportunities to go out and be a tourist. Due to how I had to arrange my visa I even got a chance to visit Hong Kong for a week, which was probably my favorite week of this 5 month period. In this post I’ll show all the places I visited in my 7 days of Hong Kong.Wong Tai Sin Temple
In this temple you can pray for a girlfriend. I however could not find any information on how long it would took before your prayers are heard. The Peak
Definitely a place you should visit. A little warning in advance though, don’t take pictures of the gift shops. This is a sensitive subject apparently.Ten Thousand Buddha’s Monastery
Sometimes you come across places in which you think the name fits quite well, this is one of those places. Also as a side note, if you go the wrong way while trying to find this monastery you end up in some sort of crematorium temple, which is also a worthwhile experience.Ocean Park
A Park you can visit to see both marine and ocean animals. The main attraction: pandas. I’m most definitely not complaining, I like pandas. This is also the place where I found out that my phone camera loses the fight against dark areas.
I told you I like pandas…
dude, great pics... crazy good, I can dig the photography... upvote ,,, peace
Thanks! My tactic is basically to take a picture of everything that looks even remotely fancy and see what I end up with.
Long time HK resident here. Thanks for your post, and a reminder to get out more. Some of the places in your post I haven't been to in years. Funny that tourists often experience more of a place in a short time than residents do who have lived there for ages :)
I'm glad I motivated you a little and I know exactly what you mean haha. I often feel like tourists know more about the cool places in The Netherlands than me.
True that! ;)
looks good
