Today the Port of Edmonds celebrated it’s 70th Anniversary.

How could we resist free hotdogs?!!! 😄

The port is located on the eastern edge of the Puget Sound approximately 12 miles north of downtown Seattle. The area was originally home to lumber and wood shingles mills, but s marina was built in the 1960’s. A ferry has also operated from the port since the 1920’s.

Today’s celebrations were festive in a small town way. There were free hot dogs, music and lots of random shwag. The weather and views overlooking the water were beautiful.

The celebrations also featured a car show hosted by Bo Bo’s Body Shop. Among the cars on display were vintage Mercuries, Pontiacs and Chryslers. Young and old alike were enjoying the hot rods on display.
