One Day to go, Tour Highlights Pieter
What a wild time it's been and it's so hard to just single out one or two things about the tour.
So what I'm gonna do is pick out my favourite shots by @dirkodie and then give you so back ground on them, hows about that?
So this might seem like a bit of a weird one for most of you, but back in South Africa we have petrol attendants that usually throw in the fuel for you. Having rented a van for the tour and being in Europe it meant that we would eventually have to put in fuel. Arriving at the station I looked everywhere for an attendant and then came to the realisation that I'd have to be doing it myself. First off it was quite scary and confusing... do I just start throwing in? How Do I stop? How Will I know its full?? What If I just keep filling up and all the fuel gushes out at me??? These were all real fears I had but then I put them aside and got to the job at hand. It turned out to be very simple and even a quite fun, I also started a little game of getting the amount spot on each time. Thus far I am 4/4!!!!
Enter: The Moonshine!!!
After our sound check we went back to the backstage area with the owner and spent majority of the time before the show getting to know him and his family. We soon realised that we were in the presence of "our" people. It's was show time and we headed through the venue to the stage to start of the first set. It was an amazing show and the people in the venue loved it. At the end of the second set we had amagical moment as Pikkie ended of with the ballad and Michel (The Owner) had set up the lighting just right to create the perfect ambience for the last song. As we were heading out he also gave us a little parting gift in the form of a case of BEERSSS!!!!
Thanks Michel and the team at The Moonshine you were great!!!
Last but not least our TV interview, this was pretty fucking cool. We arrived at the studio and packed out our gear. Waiting for our slot the host's assistant directed us to the waiting area that you'll see on the first photo. There we were met with various other artist, some lunch and the best coffee machine ever!!! They called us in for our performance, being De Wallen's first on TV performance it was pretty cool for everyone. After our performance a lovely lady approached us by the name of Maeike. She asked to do an extra interview apart from the TV interview. I'm not gonna give away too much but the last photo says enough hahahah, Follow the link here.
All and all it was an amazing tour and there is one day left , let's make the most of it!!!
