There are different ways to go to paradise
Summertime means traveltime and this summer we visit Thailand and maybe later some parts of Malaysia.
The trip on the map

From mainland to island
The harbor of Surat Thani in the south of Thailand is the location where we board the old ferry.
Nice mountain and beach area
Enjoy this view around the harbor. A short walk and some shots created this nice views.
The old pier 3
Yes, this looks a bit old and rusty but it does the job. As you see on the pics, they already start to build a new pier 4.
Entrance to the ferry
The ship is not yet arrived, but it will be there for sure in a few minutes. The old ferry ship will transport cars and people to the different islands like the well known Koh Samui and there are other ones to Koh Tao.
The vessel Asahiro Maru
While this 2.5 hours on the ferry, I found this picture from the boat. Now it is named just like the ferry line Raja and a number.

The old ferry did a good job an carried us just in time to Koh Phangan - means 2.5 hours.
Luckily there was a huge room with nice seats and aircon because otherwise we where grilled by the sun as there was not much shadow at the ship.

Vom Baujahr mag das sein. Bin früher (1989) noch mit so einem größeren Ausleger an Diesel Motor nach Koh Samui getuckert. War definitiv mehr Erlebnis.

I love the scenery, looks great, the ferry looks a bit old though, but luckily it did the job well!!
