The Cathedral Falls

The Cathedral Falls is one of the easiest to access waterfall I have ever been and it is located in the Barangay Waterfalls, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte.

With its unique rectangular rock wall formations that are unevenly clumped vertically, in a much closer look they're like an old bamboo pipe organs which are commonly be found in churches, that is why anyone would eventually consider why the falls is called by many as the Cathedral Waterfalls.

The place also holds a wide spacious sand reef that could accommodate many visitors at a time.

Cathedral Falls is the kind of a waterfall that you don't have to take a long trek, or even hike those uphill mountains and cross misty river banks just to see the majestic place.

Getting There

Coming from Iligan City...

You can ride a bus or a van that is bound to Kapatagan, Pagadian or Zamboanga City at Iligan Integrated Land Transportation Terminal.

Travel time from Iligan to Kapatagan is 3 to 4 hours.

You can ask the driver to drop you off at Kapatagan Bus Terminal/ Kapatagan Town Center.

Along the highway of the said busy marketplace, you can look for a habal-habal/motorela that will take you to Cathedral Falls.

The Waterfall is almost 15 minutes away from the town center.

And by the second we got off from our motorcycle ride we eventually saw the splendid view of the magnificent beauty of Cathedral Falls.
