One of the most common dilemmas for travelers is finding the best accommodation that can fit their needs. Despite with the advancement of technology when it comes to booking online and finding the right room for the appropriate price and amenities, there are still a lot of problems travelers face when it comes to these things.

Good thing my fretz, PaoWee are good at this. It doesn’t matter where we’re going, they always make sure that all aspects of our trip is stress-fee and comfy.

There are tons of things that can worry you when booking a hotel, like the services and amenities that the hotel offers is too good to be true and you’ll end up getting disappointed on your arrival because everything you expected was not at par with your expectations.

How to Find the Right Accommodation

Here are a few of the things that I learned when finding the right hotel:

Make sure you have all your Trip Information – It’s easier to find the right accommodation when you have all the details of your trip, like the duration of how long your trip would be and what places you’re visiting during trip.

Also make sure that the accommodation has enough rooms or it can accommodate the number of people that you have on your trip. Just like my fretz, we usually travel like in big lots. We’re usually 12. One time, we even reach a head count of 22 people. So we had to get like two houses when we went to Camotes.

Compare Hotel Prices - Once you’ve found the hotels that fit your criteria, you can break it down by comparing the hotel prices and which one offers more perks and freebies.

Paowee usually looks for houses/hotels that are offering promotions and discounts so there are times we travel in luxury but we never really paid lots out of it.

Check if it has Everything You Need - For example, do they have hot & cold showers and do you have to pay an additional fee for it. You have to know if the services and amenities that you want requires you to pay for it or not.

As for us, we usually make sure we don’t have to shed out extra money just to enjoy such services, most especially when Wi-Fi is concerned. My fretz love updating their social media accounts real time so it’s a must that we always have Wi-Fi available. Having a swimming pool is also a plus

Check in and Checkout time – You may arrive at your accommodation early or before the check-in time. Make sure to give your accommodation as to when your time of arrival. They usually offer pick-up services. Hotel perks vary, for some, as long as the rooms that you booked are available, you can use them right away. Sometimes, they have a locker room available, so you can put your things in one place and you can just put your bags in your room once you check-in.

My sister and I when we went to Hongkong, we had to let our hotel know that we will come in late since we’re going directly to Disneyland once we arrived. We gave them a specified time to make sure that we still have a place to stay since our booking reservation was for free and there is a higher chance that they might give it to someone else if we did not arrive at the specified check-in time.

I do hope you’ve learned something today my fretz! Keep Steeming!

Another good travel guide by you Dawn. You know that I never travel so it has no use to me but I am sure other people will use it. Deserved my upvote.

You should do it once PhiPhi. :)

Only to taste some fresh Asian traditional Gazoongas.

I think if and when I travel I will go the AirBNB route.

Only used AirbnB once

I'm not very fond of traveling, but I do have to think about where to go on my Honeymoon.
I'm thinking about the Fiji Islands, but still unsure.
Good guide Dawnie.
