Inspired by @velimir, I will now start to feature some places that I've been to with my beloved Ronda, my motorcycle, Bajaj Rouser NS150.

With this series, I will exert an effort to feature some of the great places in the #Philippines. Since this country of mine are best known for the great tourist spots, my goal to feature these places through photography. And hoping to invite tourists to visit the beauty of the Philippines.

With my first series, May I present to you the City of Manila.

This city is my birthplace, I' am living here for almost 33 years already. Manila was know to be the capital of the Philippines as this has contributed a lot to our history. Being the first chartered city of the Philippines in 1901, and the location of the port of entry, this is the place where everything happens during the colonial period. From the arrival of different nationalities to conquer Philippines, to exchanging of different trades.

Manila is known for its disastrous traffic, along Taft avenue, as the central main road and connecting all towns in Manila, different kinds of vehicles can be encountered here. From motorcycles to big buses transporting goods and commuters within and outside the city.

But along this busiest road may found our 16-hectare national park where fresh air can be breathe (just ensure that you're in the middle part of the park). Students from different universities are getting along and lovers are displaying their affection to each other.

This was named after our late national hero, Dr. Jose Protacio Mercado Rizal y Alonzo or commonly known as Dr. Jose Rizal.

Rizal park or Luneta Park was introduced to many Filipinos during Spanish colonial time as Bagong Bayan, which was renamed after Dr. Rizal in 1967, since this is the place where he was executed on December 30, 1896 because of defending the country through literature.

To commemorate his patriotism, his monument was built here and becomes one of the significant land marks of the Philippines. This monument with a title of Motto Stella or Guiding Star was designed by Richard Kissling. And is guarded 24 hours by the Philippine Marine Corps Marine Security and Escort Group.

The bronze sculpture does not only shows the diorama of the events while he was living and his last poem Mi Ultimo Adios (My Last Farewell), but also the place where his last remains were interred.

This place is not just a park to us Filipinos, it entails our history, a story how we gain freedom. This is where our heart centered as Filipino. Like Dr. Jose Rizal, who shows love to our country.
