The Waterfalls Near Iligan City Part 11

in #travel7 years ago

My former high school classmate who still wishes to remain anonymous has emailed me numerous pics of his hiking adventures around some of these spectacular waterfalls which he visited. There were a bunch of these photos in his hard drive available so I decided to make them into a series of posts with his kind permission.

Kalubihon Falls

Kalubihon Falls can be found somewhere in Sitio Kalubihon, Barangay Dalipuga, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte Philippines.

Location on map

In some angles viewing at the waterfalls it may look like the huge skull of a giant gorilla with its two huge eye sockets, a large twisted nose and a submerged mouth hiding around thick vegetation. That may have to depend on how big are our imaginations.

The waterfalls is another example of a Tufa limestone formation. The pool may not be that deep now and not that large, but my former classmate was tempted to take a swim here. It wasn't his habit to take a swim in every waterfalls he has visited, except for a few exceptions like this one. The water is clear and or maybe clean, but it is not advisable to drink from it. He wan't a good swimmer and he does occasionally swallows a few ounces of water every time he comes here for a swim.

Below are some photos taken from different locations. Please give your comments on what your imagination tells you.

Or it was just my former classmate with his wild imagination after walking a long distance to visit the place. An effect from dehydration or just a fan of the movie Planet of the Apes?

Some of the scenes found downstream from Kalubihon Falls.

Will your friend ever join Steemit? It's nice that you have put together this series. It's always good to appreciate nature!

I invited him but he's too shy to reveal his persona. But he's active on Facebook. Hard to explain crypto on him.

Good post, beautiful refreshing place.

Amazing natural views.. continue please.
Thanks for upvoting my post :)

@darthnava

Beautiful place. We will never get sick of watching waterfalls, right?

No, it is sort of like a therapy if you witness a real one.
