Business owner, do you take steem up-vote or will you give a rebate?
Here is an idea for you business owners. Let say you sell a few cookies for $1, i can come in and upvote you right there for 2sp upvote for those cookies, or whatever price u want to set at, this could work with other business too, like my own business,
i have an ads online that said i will take steem or upvote for my service plumbing/hvac, I will give them a rebate of 25% to 50% off their bill up to $400, so let say i go out and fix their ac unit, i charge $400(they pay $400 cash now), i tell them to give me their steem name and i will upvote them for 100 to 200 in a few day depending on how many steem power i have, i havent got any taker yet, but a few day ago one of my customer in long beach pay me 600buck for a job, i told her i will give her a rebate of more than 100 in steem power vote if she join and give me her name, she is looking into it.
This also work with restaurant, pay with sp upvote or get rebate, of course the rebate is depending on how many people eat that week, 5-20% rebate by sp up-vote i would say.
This also work with airbnb owners, a stay at airbnb cost about 50-75buck, you can up-vote them for a stay, if you are an airbnb owner will you take sp upvote? or will you do a rebate back if i pay cash?
Same with buying gasoline, paying steem power up-vote to get gas or rebate back for buying cash.
Something to think about people, i already got ads out there, if you live in la and oc area let me know if you need my service.

instead why not just send steem or sbd equivalent to dollar amount!!
Because its the same as money if u going to use steem.
the problem with upvote is!!you have to wait till you get the payout..because if you purchase from a restaurant and then upvote them..you can cancel your upvote after you leave the restaurant..so because of this restaurant owners will not feel secure about accepting upvotes as payment
No, with restaurant is you pay cash and u get sp rebate from restaurant.
When u take vote away u still lose that vote, so i dont think many would unvote.
yes they would not!!but just the possibility of it will make the owner not use it..think from his perspective!!
he cant gamble on the integrity of the person upvoting him..he is running a business and needs a secure payment system which guarentees his payments??
but i agree it can be used for rents and recurring payments..becuase if you retract your upvote then owner can evict within 7 days!!
sorry i didnt read that rebate part earlier!!yes using sp to give rebate would be a good marketting technique and it would drive sales up!!!

One day, when steemit has more than 260,000 accounts this will all fall into place and I would say yes. This is in the realm of possibility.. It is now really, but you just gotta get in touch with the person who know what steem and steemit is. Otherwise we just need to keep getting more and more people online, to increase your odds of someone saying yes..
Even though steem inflates sort of, it inflates at a much lower rate than the dollar. So holding on to that 1 steem will go from 1$ this year to at maybe 4$ next year. In that sense, they are making a good chunk if they let you buy food for 10 steem and hold onto it for one year and quadruple their profits.
Its the same with bitcoin, more and more people are accepting it. So slowly we are progressing to make this dream of yours a reality. Awesome that you have ads up though! that can't do anything but move us in that direction.. Keep at it yo!
Yeah I mean it could essentially be the same concept as a paid ad on reddit eh? "Hey customer X, if you upvote my information on Steem -> I'll give you a 10% rebate!" That's no different than paying reddit 10% of your monthly sales to get your marketing in check eh? I like this concept all in and all just point this out.

The tough part is getting people to check out Steem first... but great ideas. I guess it's only limited to our imaginations.
I think this is an EXCELLENT idea. I have a feeling the future will move towards this direction. I mean why not? It is a form of currency, it should be used just like anything else. We just gotta get more people on board!! :)
