Exactly, as several hundred authors have claimed, the world is largelly controlled by a supranational oligarchy. There is a lot of quantitative evidence to support this claim. According to a recent study made by Stefania Vitali, James B. Glattfelder and Stefano Battiston at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, a large portion of the tens of thousands of trasnational corporations that exist in the world are controlled just by 147 super-corporations (source: "The Network of Global Corporate Control" http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0025995). In the other hand, there is public information about how the CEOs of those super-corporations meet with politicians through forums and think-tanks such as the Pilgrim Society, the Bilderberg Group, the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA), the Inter-American Dialogue, the World Economic Forum and the Council of the Americas/Americas Society. And there is also a lot of public information about the billions of dollars that those corporations have "invested" in the campaigns of these nefarious politicians.
