My entry for the new year is one of my favourite images of 2018. With the Kuju-Renzan in the background, the Shindonotaki Falls stand out as a silver sliver that slices through the great Narukogawa Keikoku forest.

Standing on the top of Summer's cliff I watch the night lights shining over the bay. A few clouds are floating in the sky and the stars are a little shy tonight. Still the view is just amazing and the place so peaceful!

I love the light in this photo, the dark clouds sitting just above the ice made for some beautiful contrast. The photo was taken whilst on a filming trip for ‘The Map to Parsdise’.

South of France hides fantastic treasures such as this Roman aqueduct that is still standing and in very good shape. It is named "Le pont du gard" and really is something to see! It is incredible to see how good and beautiful were the construction centuries ago.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday week #68 - winner announcement!
@ladybug146 North American Friday entry:
A place so beautiful, it used to be featured on our old $20 bills, Moraine Lake, Alberta attract loads of tourists each summer. The road to this remote lake is only open in the summer months due to dangerous conditions in the winter. Most of my travels to busy areas are done in the winter to avoid the crowds meaning, I don't get to see it often. After 10 years I finally went for my first visit last summer.
For more information about the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and conditions see my original post: 200 SBD 7 World's Continents Photo Challenge - 2018 guidelines – 25/10 update.

A panoramic view of the coast at Antofagasta at Northern Chile. This city is associated with the mining industry of Chile. At the left of the image there is the hill called Cerro Moreno. In spite of being a very dry and arid region during many days the sky is cloudy (as the day when this poto was taken) due to the humidity that comes from the sea.
Thank you so much for your submission. Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today.
Visiting Machu Picchu "The Lost City of the Incas" has been on my bucket list for years and that day felt like a dream. There is so much beauty here and still it hasn´t all been uncovered. So the history of Machu Picchu is still a big mystery.
Same here but I still have to realize that. Thank you!
View on the Tatacoa Desert in Colombia. Actually, it's not a desert, but dry rain forest. Used to be wetter with thousands of colourful flowers and trees, but has been gradually transforming into a desert. I took this shot with my mobile.
Looks very interesting, thank you for your entry.
Roofs of Potosi, Bolivia
Located at an altitude of over 4000m, Potosi is a city with a fascinating history: Thanks to the giant silver mine in Cerro Rico, the mountain in the background, Potosi became the richest city in the world in the 16th century. These times are over, but many impressive churches built by the Spanish remain.

Cerro Dragon or Dragon Hill is a rocky hill on the northwestern side of Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos. It is the home to an impressive population of land iguana. Hence the name of this place.
