Wahiba Sands, Oman. Today I want to share with you a picture I took a few weeks ago on my travel around Oman. It shows the sunset in an absolut incredible landscape. Sitting on a dune and watching the sun go down is something very special and I only can recommend it to you to try it out when ever you got the chance to.

@jpphotography Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

Monkey Island, Vietnam. When I visited Ha Long Bay, I feared hords of tourists and cruise ships, but I was positively surprised: Apart from a few great backpackers in the hostel, there were few tourists around and I had a great time on Cat Ba Island and Ha Long Bay.

Victoria Falls Zimbabwe. I got to check out Victoria Falls the other week and even though there was only 20% of water flowing the sound and spray of the falls was amazing to see! I would love to see the falls at 100% it would be so crazy!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #70 - winner announcement!

@fotostef European Thursday entry:

For this week I have a shot that I took from the ship's deck as we were entering Heraklion port on my way home. Usually the ships arrive at Crete before the sunrise but thanks to a change of the schedule I had the chance to take a few shots as the sun was rising above the mountains.

Fancy purple American classic car passing by the famous colorful houses found in front of El Capitolio, the iconic landmark of Havana, Cuba. These stylish oldtimers from the 1950s and 1960s are still very common and popular in Cuba.

A snap shot taken in the street in the downtown of Los Angeles, California. Home to almost 4 million people, L.A. is the most populous city in the state and the second most populous city in the all United States, after New York City.

Photo of the Biosphere of Montreal, it is a huge geodesic dome (of 62 meters high) located in Montreal (Quebec, Canada). It houses a museum dedicated to the environment. The building has a self regulatory system for controlling the internal temperature, using the shades.

This happened on the mountain pass going from Medford to Klamath Falls, Oregon. It is one of my favorite drives, especially when the trees are all covered with snow like this. It is truly a winter wonderland.

This amazing rock formation is called Spider Rock. It is the highlight of the Canyon de Chelly, which you can reach by a two-hours drive from the Grand Canyon. We highly recommend to do that when you are around, because there are almost no people.

Taken on to Maligne Lake Road in Jasper National Park on the way to Maligne Lake. The drive takes about an hour but the narrow winding road follows the river up to the lake passing many geological features on the way. Maligne is the french word for wicked (the river bears it's name well) Don't fall in it will take you to it's underground river network. We got hungry and decide it was time to stop for a meal and that's the view from the park where we stopped to cook and enjoy our meal.

O love this, so pretty.

Grand Canyon
It's snowing outside and I remember the hot days during our west coast trip in 2016. One stop was the famous Grand Canyon. If you've been there, you know that it's an incredible feeling to get closer to the edge and you are awarded with a stunning view above a "small" part of the gigantic canyon.

This is an aerial drone view along the shoreline of Kelly Island on the Pend Oreille River in Washington last summer. It's fun to see the change in perspective you get with a drone as everything looks quite different when you view it from above at a distance.

There is the well known Wall Street Bull or the Bowling Green Bull, the bronze sculpture that stands in the Financial District in Manhattan, New York City and there is this one. I don’t remember in which part of the city, but it was way less crowded that the other one.
