Here i share with you my interpretation of the "Rusty Nail" which is located in Brandenburg, Germany. Europe. Its a pretty cool 30m tall steel structure that gives you a great overview of the surrounding lakes. In my original post i have a few more interesting version of lighting this viewing tower during the blue hour.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #74 - winner announcement!

@gunnarheilmann Australian Monday entry:

This Boab Tree is located just a few kilometers from Emma Gorge at El Questro on Gibb River Road in Western Australia. There is no Light Polution at all.
On of the hotest nights i ever spent Light Painting. 39.5° C 2AM - impossible to sleep full on sweaty sleeping on the car in the middle of f-ing nowhere. Anyhow the photo was totally worth it. This Boab Tree was so impressive and also noisy. What you cant see nor hear are all the frogs that were sitting in that tree. So cool. What you see here is a 40sec. exposure and i run with my colored flash lights towards the tree and shine at the ground first then the tree second. If you look closely you can also see my feet. I think it adds some organic texture and makes it more real than just some photoshopped effect. FYI > The huge bright spot next to the tree is not the moon. That is Saturn!

This is my entry! A small walk through the desert can serve to clear ideas. Our passage through the desert of Merzouga left us with incredible views, it was the first time we were there and, everything seemed like a movie!

View of "W Barcelona", popularly known as the Hotel Vela (Sail Hotel) due to its shape, a famous hotel designed by Ricardo Bofill located in the Barceloneta district of Barcelona, in the expansion of the Port of Barcelona, Spain.

Photo of the small Slovenian town: Kanal. This bridge crosses the River Soča. The original bridge was built by the Romans. The present day bridge dates after then of first World War.
The turquoise colour of the river, is due to its glacial origins.

Tram in Prague

The day I took this photo the sky looked very dark, but the sun was still shining on the streets of Prague. I went to see the "dancing house" and on my way back towards the old town, I found myself in this beautiful street.

This is a beautiful wintry impression of a little Chateau in Lower Austria...! ~ Being a private property it is not always open to the public yet sometimes there are festivities & in summer certain parts can even be rented ~ obviously the home is gorgeously renovated and presents an exterior not unlike to the famous Palace Schönbrunn in Vienna: an emblem of the country ~ ✨ ~

Fairytale-like shot :)

The island Corvo is the smallest island of the Azores, Portugal. Corvo is a volcano, where are living about 400 people. On the photo you can see the crater of the volcano.

Wow! You have been constantly pushing the Azores higher and higher in my travel list :) Breathtaking scenery.

happy to hear that ;)

The Lost Tree

Pretty long exposure (20 sec) sunset at Curonian Gulf, Lithuania. Colorful and burning and with a silky water as a result. Excellent tree as a foreground makes all the story.
Wide angle lens and LEE filters used

Enjoy it!

Donna Camilo Beach, Algarve, Portugal

dsc02864-768x512.jpg

Dona Camilo Beach, Algarve is an oasis of desert-like nature, more golden cliffs, and a quant, yet flawless beach. The texture of the sand reminded me of quinoa! If you get up early enough like I did, you can have the entire beach to yourself!

Wow, beautiful photo and amazing colors!

Although in Picos de Europa, a beautiful national park in Spain, my highlight goes to nature, this monument deserves some attention as well: its called Monasterio de Covadonga, and its a monastery surrounded by nature. It's one of the most visited monuments in Asturias... and given the amazing building and the surrounding landscape, it's easy to understand why!

mosteiro cov.jpg

It is a beautiful monastery, almost like a castle.

It is! And the surroundings are just amazing. Thank you!

Quinta da Regaleria, Sintra is breathtaking combination of Moorish, Egyptian, and Gothic design. It’s Sintra’s most mysterious monument. While it was built in the early 1900’s by a Portuguese tycoon, no one is exactly certain what took place here.
