Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!

Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

See the winner of the last week´s Australian Monday @fotogruppemunich with the following entry:

I was able to capture this beautiful sunset in Sydney. I took the picture from the ferry. The trip over I have always changed the lenses back and forth because by the trip again and again different possibilities resulted. My goal was to get the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House on one picture. Have a good start into the new week!

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

Banks Peninsula one more time

I captured the city and harbour of Akaroa from up above during our "penguin" field trip. It was our first day in NZ and it was already remarkable.

Have a great evening!

So happy to be back here on Steemit after some time off. Just posted some photos on @Appics from time to time. How is the contest going Tomas?

I used to live in Akaroa. Beautiful photo of a great place.

It's such a fantastic place. We enjoyed the days spent in the area very much.

The contest is going great! Glad to have you back and see you using Appics as well. Have a great start of the week.

Sounds awesome! Have a good one!

This is a beach at Noosa Heads, a town and suburb on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. As it's not far from where I lived, I was lucky to be able to always watch this splendid sunset view over the clear calm water.

Bridge Pillars in New Zealand

The beautiful blue colour of this river originates at the glaciers of the South Island of New Zealand. On the way to the icy giants, this river gave a first taste of the frozen landscapes. The bridge is one of several roads in New Zealand that were never completed and are now reconquered by nature.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

This photo comes from my travels in Far North Queensland. I camped by Johnstone River in Wooroonooran National Park. I took this photo early one morning. Notice the edge of the jungle which is impossible to walk through without being ripped to shreds. The water is clear but not recommended for swimming with the crocodiles around.

My photo for today is of my home city, Brisbane by night. The shot was taken looking across the Brisbane River from the top of the popular Kangaroo Point Cliffs. On the right is the end of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, in the center is the Eagle Street Pier down to the residential high rise buildings in Spring Hill.

This is Split Apple Rock, or Tokangawha (Maori) in the Abel Tasman national Park of New Zealand. This strange geological anomaly is a popular tourist spot, with people coming from all over the world to marvel at it.

I was able to take the picture of the Milky Way in Queensland. For me it was a beautiful moment to see such a great starry sky. Here in Germany this unfortunately works only rarely. Since the light pollution is very large here.

Hi, Today have chosen to share this image as my entry. The photo is from the hiking path towards the blue lagoon on the incredibly beautiful Stradbroke Island.
I chose this as my entry because of the thick Australian native flora.
A very Australian shot!!!
