The number of entries yesterday was very good with many high-quality images so it was extremely hard to decide on the winning one. I encourage you to check the entries as they really were all stunning.
You can see all entries and participants in this post: 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #81 - the absolute winner takes 200 SBD!
Please give a huge shout out to the best ten competitors for taking part in the challenge and sharing their photos and experience with all of us here on Steemit:
It would be great if you can visit their blogs and appreciate their awesome photography skills with some upvotes.
However, the winner is only one and that is for me picture posted by @crazy-andy with the following entry:
Photo is from Mahango National Park in Namibia at the start of Caprivi area. I was there in 2015. That afternoon we took a boat cruise and it ended with typical, but sensational African scene. Sunset with two hippos and bush at the riverbank makes my memory on that day fabulous.
What a great contribution from @crazy-andy to the photo challenge! I have visited @crazy-andy blog and upvoted his post called I miss sunset. @crazy-andy amazing entry from Namibia is qualifying for the weekly challenge where it will be competing against the previous and upcoming winners of the week:
@sinochip Asian Sunday entry:
Halong Bay is probably a must visit in you're in northern Vietnam. So being a first time visit I did what all tourist did, even though I hate doing that. I took a cruise out to Halong Bay, boarded a smaller boat, toured around the limestone structures, watched how the locals live on their boats and finally went to Dong Thien Cung to look at the stalactites and stalagmites. All very touristy. Here's a photo I took when I was inside Dong Thien Cung, and I have to admit, it was quite remarkable inside.
@fotogruppemunich Australian Monday entry:
I took the picture of the skyline of Sydney from the Overseas Passenger Terminal at the harbour. I tried to find another perspective to photograph the city. If you look at the picture in large you can even see some stars in the sky.
@phortun Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
Incredibly transparent sea with the colorful sign "Holbox" in the foreground. Holbox is a beautiful island in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, located on the north coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. It is approximately 41.84 kilometres (26 miles) long and 1.5 kilometres (0.9 miles) wide, and it is separated from the mainland by 10 km of shallow lagoon that is home to flamingos, pelicans and other rich birdlife.
The winner of the weekly challenge will be selected by you based on the dollar value of this post and then entered to a monthly and possibly yearly challenge on the way to win the price of 200 SBD in total. You can give @crazy-andy your support by upvoting this winner announcement post.
My next challenge is coming shortly: European Thursday. Get your pictures ready! :)
