Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @krakonos:

Church of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist, Dolní Chabry, Prague. Today's church dates back to the mid-12th century. It was restored after the Hussite wars and after the Thirty Years' War. But under this church are the foundations of the three previous churches from the 11th century. At that time, they compete with St. Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle. This territory is the original heart of the Czechs and the Premyslids.

I rewarded @krakonos entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other entries.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

Czech gingerbread cookies are popular at Christmas time when they become part of vanocni cukrovi. They need some time to acquire the right texture and taste. We love baking these cookies every year, because it fills our apartment with the most wonderful Christmas aroma!

An unsightly hut in the picture next to the church is a bell tower from the late 17th century. Only then was the church repaired after the Thirty Years' War. The builders were not sure that the Gothic tower would carry their bell, and so they put the bell down next to it.
(The oldest bell bears the year 1695.)

Most famous bar in Brno is The bar which doesn't exist (Bar který neexistuje) in Kozi street. Its great atmosphere, rich variety of mixed drinks and warm waiters were also mentioned in New York Times

Photo depicts a historical celebration in the city of Pilsen, specifically the conquest of the city by General Mansfeld in 1618 at the beginning of the Thirty Years War.
Historical festivals are very popular in Pilsen and bring us interesting events from different periods.
In addition to historical costumes, we can also see a number of ancient houses on Republic Square.

Foto zachycuje historickou slavnost ve městě Plzni, konkrétně dobytí města generálem Mansfeldem roku 1618 na počátku Třicetileté války.
Historické slavnosti jsou v Plzni velmi oblíbené a přibližují nám zajímavé události z různých období.
Kromě historických kostýmů zde můžeme vidět i řadu starobylých domů na náměstí Republiky.

Visiting Prague you should definitely visit St. Vitus Cathedral. Inside the cathedral, the stained glass windows of the cathedral immediately attract the eye. This photo shows a small stained glass window, which is located at the entrance to the cathedral

In Prague, a large number of interesting areas, and this is one of them.
Kampa Island is a very quiet, calm and cozy place, where there are far fewer tourists than in all other parts of the city, which has any attractions on its territory.
Here, as in any tourist place, there is a large number of souvenir shops and stores. There are also cozy cafes with restaurants, prices are reasonable.
