Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @jjprac:

Journey to Heaven. The procession of clergy at Prague Castle goes to the Archbishop's Palace. I captured this film while visiting Prague Castle with my parents in 2013. We also visited Charles Bridge and the Old Town that day.

Cesta do nebes. Průvod duchovních na Pražském hradě směřuje do Arcibiskupského paláce. Tento snímek jsem zachytil při návštěvě Pražského hradu se svými rodiči v roce 2013. Prohlédli jsme si ten den i Karlův most a Staré město.

I rewarded @jjprac entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other entries.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

"For the superb view and the magnificent library, a site not to be missed"

_IMG_1553020520282.jpg

A site that deserves and not for the grumblers! It is true that we visit only the library and not very close (but this is not the case in Coimbra and likewise we do not see a mass of tourists leafing through precious books in Dublin or Spain!) , that you have to pay for the photos (it's not uncommon elsewhere), but the 2 rooms and the hall (filled with precious documents) are beautiful, there is a soul. The climb to the monastery (on foot of course) is very nice, the belvedere under the monastery offers one of the most beautiful views of the city, the vineyard is close as the forest. and the nearby brewery offers beers and food of good quality. So, if we remember these good things, we're really good at Strahov!

Boats floating on the Vltava River and the famous panorama of the Prague Castle Complex in the background. On the left, you can see the Petrin Hill and the Petrin Lookout Tower on the top of it. The tower offers some breathtaking views of the city.

The Prague-Velká Chuchle Racecourse is a racetrack where gallop and trotting horse racing is held. It is located on the southern outskirts of Prague, in the administrational district of Velká Chuchle. Races are held there from April to end of October (except the summer break - Jul, Aug). The track measures 2180 m in length.

From the the first spring day - 21st March starts the tourist season in the Chateau Slavkov/Austerlitz. This place was the seat of the Czech noble family Kaunitz for 400 years. Very important role played this chateau in 1805. On the 3rd of December thanked there Napoleon Bonaparte to his soldiers for winning in the battle of three emperors. On the 8th of December a treaty of peace was signed there by Napoleon I., tsar Alexander I. and Austrian emperor Francis I.

Visiting Prague and not visiting Prague Castle is an unforgivable crime.
There you can just walk slowly, but in order to go into most of the objects, you need to buy a ticket.
It includes: the Old Royal Palace (I), expositions of the History of Prague Castle (II), Basilica of Saint Jiri (III), Golden Lane (V), Powder Tower (VII), St. Vitus Cathedral (VIII), Rožmberg Palace (IX). Costs 350 CZK

Awe-inspiring beauty
Walking into the nave of St Nicholas church my jaw dropped with the beauty and infinite detail that met my eyes. The ornate decorations of gold, mosaics, stone and art are mesmerizing as you try notice and appreciate every part of it. I have been to many churches in Europe by this one for me definitely stands out.

Church of St.Spirit, Old Town, Prague

Now I'm still photographing a church from the 14th century, from the reign of Emperor Charles IV: But in a few weeks, the tree will be in the picture.
There were cemeteries around the churches. These were canceled at the end of the 18th century due to floods. Trees were planted in former cemeteries ...
This tree can be 300 years old ...

John Lennon Wall
A corner of the city that reminds us that no one can stop us from saying what we think! Not to forget, to learn to fight, to feel free and to never stop thinking freely. another wall to remember that fighting is a duty! To visit!

The narrow cobblestoned streets, lovely squares, and striking Renaissance and Habsburg era buildings of Cesky Krumlov’s historic center transport you to the Bohemia of old, but, of course, with modern sanitation and conveniences. Church spires punctuate the horizon and gorgeous castle views of the town and surrounding hills in the distance can truly be described as fairy tale.

Charles Bridge
Another must see attraction in Prague. Was nice to walk across from Old Town to Lesser Town on the other side of Vltava River. Not too busy as middle of March and quite chilly.
Along both sides of bridge there are statues, mostly of Saints. There are various street entertainers and small stalls.
