SYDNEY - AUSTRALIA'S MOST ICONIC CITY
New South Wales' capital city, Sydney, is one of the most visited places in Australia. As I have previously mentioned in my travel blog, many of you think that Sydney is Australia's capital; however that distinction goes to Canberra.
First-time tourists like me will not leave the place without visiting the Sydney's most famous icon, the Sydney Opera House and the neighbor landmark, the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
A huge savings on our trip is that we didn't need to book on a hotel as we have relatives on the suburbs we stayed into. Easy access to city central via bus and metro just like in other countries - there is one card to tap on each type of ride, Opal card.
Don't forget to download in your mobile the transit apps as the metro, bus and ferries schedule are on time... real time.
They don't have extravagant Shopping malls like we used to have in Asia and UAE, it will look like a box type buildings and shops are open at 10am and closes as early as 5pm.
Our relatives house is a bit-far from city centre for a 1 hour metro trip. The suburb neighborhood is very simple which the houses are more on a bungalow type.
You need atleast more than a week to explore Sydney as there are many places to see by your eyes... Bondi beach, Darling Habour, Manly Wharf, Falls creek, Blue mountains to name a few.
Taken from Jindabyne Perisher valley, a snowy mountain part in New South Wales. We are having fun with this whole bunch of family!
