The Highest Waterfall Of The World Is In Venezuela
Yes it is located in Venezuela (South America), and it's called "Salto Ángel" (Angel Fall).
The fall is located in Canaima National Park in the Bolivar State of Venezuela. Descend on the edge of Auyán-Tepui (named by the locators) which means "Devil's Mountain".
It's named after an American explorer and pilot named Jimmy Angel, crashed his plane on Auyán-Tepuí in 1937.
It plunges 3.212 feet (979 meters), almost 1 kilometer! It includes both the free-falling plunge and a little stretch of steep rapids on its base.
If you discount the rapids, the uninterrumpted drop plunges 2.648 feet (807 meters), and it's still a record breaker. It's around 15 times the height of the Niagara Falls located in USA!
Angel Falls is so high that some of the water evaporates before it reaches it's base. And, unlike most falls, this one isn’t fed by snowmelt, a lake or a river, but by rainfall from the tropical clouds which surround that jungle!
Because of the dense jungle that is surrounding the falls, they are best seen from the air... it's so beautiful!

This waterfall was the inspiration of this american movie made by Disney Pixar in 2009, which won 2 Oscars. In the movie the waterfalls are called "Paradise Falls", refering to the Angel Falls.

This movie was launched in 2000 by Walt Disney Pictures, and it used real images of the waterfall and the Canaima National Park.
Point Break
Launched in 2015, one if it's actor is a venezuelan guy called "Edgar Ramírez", and they filmed some of the scenes above the Angel Falls!
