My Trip from Bangkok to Koh Phangan Island バンコクからパンガン島への旅
From my understanding, there are 3 different ways to get to Koh Phangan from Bangkok. the quickest way is to take a plane to Koh Samui Island which is nearby Koh Phangan and take a ferry. Another way is to take a bus to the port in Surat Thani and then take a ferry to Koh Phangan. The way I took was probably the cheapest way and it is to take a train to Surat Thani station then take a Bus to the Port then take a boat to Koh Phangan.
I left Bangkok on a sleeper train about 7:30PM and arrived in Koh Phangan around noon. So, the whole trip took about 16 hours and 30mins. But the nice thing about going with this option is that you can sleep overnight in the sleeper train so, you will save even more money from not having to get a hotel for that night. The sleeper train ticket only cost me 718 baht (about $22 USD).
Once I got off the train, I was greeted by a lady asking me where I was going. I told her that I am going to Koh Phangan and she sold me a joint ticket which includes fares for both the bus and the ferry. I paid 400 baht(about $12 USD) for the joint ticket.
The bus looked like a double decker bus. If you ever go on one of these buses, try to get the seat all the way in the front on the 2nd floor. You will get a great view and lots of legroom.
Here is the ferry to Koh Phangan. It actually stops in Koh Samui first.

Once you get to the Koh Phangan, I suggest getting a motorbike so you can get around the island freely. I paid 150baht($4.50 USD) per day for the motorbike rental by talking them down but they are usually 250baht per day. They easily go up to 100km/h so be careful!
私が知っているバンコクからパンガン島への行き方は三つあります。一番早くて高い方法は飛行機でサムイ島へ行って船でパンガン島へ行く方法。もう一つの方法はバスでスラーターニーまで行って船でパンガン島へ行く方法。私が利用した方法は一番安い方法で、電車でスラーターニー駅まで行ってバスで港まで行って船でパンガン島へ行きました。
バンコク駅から7:30PMに寝台列車で出て、パンガン島に次の日の昼ごろ着きました。ですので、１６時間半ほど掛かりました。ですが、この方法で良い事は寝台列車で一晩寝るのでその日はホテルを取る必要が無いので、その分ホテル代が浮きます。寝台列車券は７１８バーツでした。
列車を降りると早速おばさんが私の方に来て何処に行くのかと聞いてきました。パンガン島へ行こうとしていると伝えると、４００バーツでバス代・船代を含んだジョイントチケットを売ってくれるというので、それで行きました。ジョイントチケットは４００バーツでした。
バスは２段バスでした。このバスに乗るのであれば、２階の一番前の席を取る事をお勧めします。いい眺めだし、足を伸ばす事が出来ます。

パンガン島へ着いたら島中を自由に行動する為、バイクを借りる事をお勧めします。私は交渉して一日１５０バーツで借りましたが、普通の値段は一日２５０バーツです。簡単に１００キロでるので気をつけましょう！
