Chelsey's Chronicles #5: Thailand (PART 2) - Views from a Bangkok Rooftop Bar
Our trip to Bangkok wouldn't be complete without visiting a rooftop bar.
After browsing multiple websites recommending the top Bangkok bars, I settled on Zoom Sky Bar and Restaurant. @nishyfishy and I took the BTS and explored the streets of Bangkok during peak hour.
We arrived at 6pm, and by then, the sun was slowly descending.
We settled in a booth, ordered some drinks and a laab moo (which btw was absolutely delicious. It's a grilled lamb salad with red onion and some Thai sauce and had the right amount of spiciness and zestiness. Our cocktails were pretty nice too, although in hindsight, I wished I ordered a more sweet tropical drink.
But the highlight was the view. 360 degrees of the city! We talked, drank and ate as we watched the sun set and the city lights start to dot the night sky. For some reason, my cocktail hit me quite unexpectedly and I felt a tad tipsy leaving the bar, but hey, all part of the fun hahah
Overall, it was definitely a romantic and lovely night to celebrate the start of our Thailand vacation. Jumping on the bandwagon, I highly recommend visiting a rooftop bar if you're ever in Bangkok. The cocktails are priced pretty reasonably, but it's more about paying for the views and location.
With Love,
Chels
