Used images and polite words ..."

Chelyabinsk region, the city of Satka, "Hammer and Sickle." The sculptural composition rises on a hill in the central part of the city. The monument was erected in the city in 1972 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the USSR, on the initiative of the Satka GK CPSU and the executive committee of the city council of people's deputies.

Vitaliy Chernetsov, a Satka local historian, considers the memorial sign an ugly hybrid of a sickle, a hammer and a five-pointed star - symbols of the USSR. He writes: “Since in the Brezhnev stagnation period the country's economic and political structures were set backwards, then the national symbolism was blown away. The memorial sign does not represent any historical value. But he fully reflected our ideological, worldview backwardness, the decline of Russian culture, the dullness and one-sidedness of the pre-perestroika, pre-reform era, the decline of “developed socialism”
