Miami – Florida Experience and Tips
Planning the trip to Miami-Florida
First at the time of planning the trip to Miami and Orlando we all sat down to see which places we would visit in the 10 days. Those who know Miami know that it is a very busy and important city, but in my personal opinion with only three days is more than enough to know what is necessary. So we focused on knowing other areas such as Key West which is beautiful, Orlando which is a spectacular magical city and Daytona beach, the result of the planning was as follows:
Planning Result:
Day 1: Departure from Caracas to Miami. Organization at the hotel (obviously I did more than that)
Day 2:Key West and tour the streets of Miami Beach and Weston Rd.
Day 3: Dolphin Mall shopping and more.
Day 4: Arrival to the Magic City of Orlando Florida.
Day 5: The dream resort.
Day 6: Islands of Adventure Park.
Day 7: Universal Studios Park.
Day 8: Daytona Beach and Outlets.
Day 9: Return to Miami and visit Little Havana.
Day 10: Art Deco district (Brutal) and Clevelander (disco).
Day 11: Return to Reality
Day 1: Departure from Caracas to Miami
Once at the Maiquetía airport here in Venezuela, I could not wait to get on the plane and start my second trip to Miami, we were all anxious to board the flight. After 2 hours walking through the duttyfree they made the call to board and the adrenaline shoots up, this would be our first family trip out of the country.
The plane finally lands at the ** Miami International Airport ** at its estimated time of arrival. We went to migration for the routine check which we passed without any problems, then we went to an area inside the airport the "Rental Car" to rent our family vehicle and start our adventure.
As the flight arrived at night we went to the hotel where we already had our reservation made about 15 minutes from the airport, when we arrived we unpacked and organized everything. I immediately after unpacking I took a bath and dressed to go out with my friend who is like my brother.
We left the hotel and begin my first night with a good rumba in the best style of Miami, my friend took me to the area of South Beach where the best albums are, that night we went to 3 clubs, we chatted for a while and good to Squared some friends already know how it is, return to the hotel at about 4 am local time to rest a bit since we expected a long day.
Day 2: Key West and tour the streets of Miami Beach and Weston Rd.
At 7 am they wake me up to get ready as we have to go out to see the Florida Keys and places in Miami, we get ready and go to the keys, the ride is amazing, imagine 10 or 20 bridges over the lake Maracaibo together, sea at the sides and you go through small islands and then sea again, we came to cayo bone we took a swim in the sea and came back because the weather was a bit cold, actually I do not regret going to the keys are landscapes, that is something wonderful, then we returned to downtown and went around the busy Lincoln road and Miami Beach, parked and walked about 2 km throughout the area, it should be noted that the purchases were just beginning, I remember we went into a Walmart and there we almost filled the car with purchases. At 2pm, we took the road to Weston Rd. To visit an aunt, what we arrived at was the reunion between my mother and her sister who were more than 1o years old without seeing each other, the encounter was very beautiful and emotional, for my part I I went with my uncle and my father to a park where we went to a polygon that is inside, while my mother, my sister and my nieces stayed at home.
There we spent the afternoon and then we returned to the house to make a grill and between drinks and talk was the afternoon and part of the night, while we returned to the hotel my friend burst the phone to go out that night to fall to beers, which It was exactly what we did until about 2am when we returned to the hotel.
Day 3: Dolphin Mall shopping and more
It is incredibly indescribable how huge are the Mall in Miami, we went to one called Dolphin Mall, which took us practically all day to cover it, thousands of stores including my favorite the Bass Pro Shop which is immense, we shopped and breakfast and we had lunch in the mall, imagine the size of the cc, then we went to another shopping center, the shopping center adventure, where I bought some super cheap glasses since that day the oakley had a 50% discount. Then we all wanted to try McDonalds hamburgers there and then we made the respective stop (they are very good), we returned to the hotel to rest because the next day we would go to Orlando.
Day 4: Arrival to the Magic City of Orlando Florida
I can not find words to describe the beauty of this city, it's like something dreamed where everything remembers your childhood, shops, houses, gardens, restaurants, all set in the magical world of Disney. We arrived at our hotel at 4Pm and without hesitation we all dropped bags and went for a walk around, everything spectacular we passed by a house as if it were built upside down, impressive things that you find on the tracks.
We went to an Outlet (discount shopping center) Immense! ... If Miami seemed economical Orlando clothing was much more economical, well there we filled the shopping cart, and almost coming to the parking lot we are approached by a vendor offering us a package in a 5 star hotel of Disney which did not seem real and I decided to take the risk of accepting the package, and after 10pm we returned to the hotel to fix the suitcases because the next day we were going to that resort.
Day 5: The dream resort
I start this paragraph with a WOW, when we were arriving at the address that appeared in the brochure the landscape was increasingly amazing and that is that we were approaching the area where Disney parks are where everything is more colorful and magical, in which the GPS said that it turns to the right and arrives at its destination we could not believe that it was certain that we would stay there.
We all got off the van and walked to the reception incredulous and at the same time nervous that this reservation was fraudulent, when I delivered the bill and the reservation order, the girl at the reception welcomed us to the resort and then it was true. .. a luxury awaited us in the room. 3 rooms to give everything, kitchen and all the comforts and had, my parents super happy and not to mention my friend and I were already planning what we would do that night hahaha.
The first thing I did was go buy tickets and packages to the parks of Island Adventure and Universal Studios at the hotel lobby, then we went to a supermarket to buy food for the next 3 days. Too bad it was cold season and we could not enjoy the pool that despite being heated was a lot of the icy breeze that hit. In the night we went to a bar my friend and I called Mr. Frog's had a great time and we laughed a lot.
Day 6: Islands of Adventure Park
It is a theme park where you will find many universal attractions such as Harry Potter which is the best, Spider-Man, Hulk, Jurassic park, among others. There are also many restaurants one of the most impressed was the Jurassic Park, simply amazing. There we went all day entering the attractions and enjoying as a child more. We returned super tired to sleep because the next day I played another park.
Day 7: Universal Studios Park
My favorite without hesitation because it is the world of the Simpsons, a fan of that animated series, is a park a bit more for adults, although many children also enjoy it since the characters are all over the park and they do parades every so often, you find A lot of attractions such as the Simpsons which is my favorite, terminator, the mummy, among others. Again we went all day in the park as the parks are huge.
Day 8: Daytona Beach and Outlets
I tell you that I am a fan of Nascar racing, and being in the United States and near where the cars run as I was not going to know my passion ... it was a pleasure first of all to get to that city since it's all very traditional American from there, it's like being in an American movie. When you get to the track it is amazing the infrastructure that has inside, museums, restaurants, Nascar brand store, in short, very large, when you arrive they only gave tours all over the place, without hesitation I bought my package and the adventure was very exciting to be only 1 meter from the braking marked on the track has no words when it comes to your passion. We also walked through the beaches that are very beautiful and have a lot of fun on their docks, back to Orlando to prepare everything to return us to Miami, we went to the Premium Outlet to make some last purchases.
Day 9: Return to Miami and visit Little Havana
Back to Miami we stayed a little closer to south beach this time, which I thought was fabulous since my friends are in that area, well we arrived at the hotel and went to visit an area called Little Havana, it is an area in Miami that It recreates the life of Cubans, in the area live many Cubans and show their open lifestyle and brotherhood. There are shops with Cuba products that make you feel like on the island apart from the restaurants at very cheap prices with good food. You can not stop trying the typical Cuban coffee, it's very good. After that I went to visit a friend who had not seen him for a while and we had a coffee and we talked for a while until my time was made to go to a family dinner at my aunt's house in Weston.
Day 10: Art Deco district (Brutal) and Clevelander (disco)
It is an area located at the southern end of Miami beach where all the infrastructure dates back more than 100 years, and they are unique. You feel as if you were entering a Hollywood movie, in the famous series called Miami Vice, which I saw as a child, the buildings in the area still keep the pastel colors, really a delight to walk through that area. After 8 o'clock at night I told my parents to go to the Hotel because I wanted to know more about the nightlife of Miami on my last day of this trip, I stayed with my friend and we had drinks on an open disc called Clevelander that is throughout the Ocean Drive, I call attention to his rumba style with Hip-hop and Rap music and women dancing like on TV, we had a good time in this place.
Day 11: Return to Reality
The day has come for us to return to our country, and it is just at that moment when you do not want to return, well between mixed feelings we went to the Miami International Airport, to board our American Airlines flight (Excellent Service). We arrived in Caracas after 3 hr flight and immediately hit reality, escalators not working, damaged air, failure to deliver suitcases .... simply a disaster, unfortunately I do not know how we were able to reach this level of indolence collective It is sad to be in another country and not want to return to yours, but with everything and its flaws that is not the country but its rulers, We have one of the most beautiful lands that God has given us VENEZUELA.
Tips when you're in Miami:
- Do not rent vehicles in the rental cars of the airports, they charge an insurance and they retain the money to you until you deliver the vehicle.
2.Carry gps but the rent increases.
Ask that your vehicle has Sun-Pass, it is important not to be paying tolls, but you go through an express way.
In the parks buy your tickets with express pass, this saves you time in the queues for each attraction
Buy the combo of pop corns and rechargeable soft drink, save money for each refill.
Make your clothes shopping in Orlando, it's worth the trip, you'll save about 30% on your purchases
