Visiting La Boqueria , Barcelona's biggest food market. Together with my Filipino wife. 4K videos included.

Two weeks ago , me and my Filipino wife @fernwehninja , had the joy to visit one if the most beautiful cities in the world.

Barcelona

I will do a number of reports of this trip and today i will start with our visit to Barcelona's biggest food market in the center of the city in one of the sideskirts of La Rambla.

La Boqueria

This is heaven for the true food lovers and a feast for the eyes , ears and nose.

So colorful and full of amazing scents and full of energy.

Spains best quality food stalls and a lot of traditional spanish dishes like Paella and Tapas.

The market is open from monday to saturday from 9 am to 9 pm.

We were looking forward to this so much.

After a long walk from Playa de Catalunya and over La Rambla we finally reached our destination.

It was super busy , and it didn't take long before our eyes and noses got caught by all the smells and colors.

We decided to strawl across the many food stalls to see what this country has to offer.

We came across the most delicious looking seafood , fruits ,vegetables, spices and meat , carefully displayed across the stalls.

Our attention got caught by this stall with the most amazing looking seafood , so we decided it was time for a little snack.

OYSTERS!!

The oysters were fresh and priced at 2,50 € per piece and they tasted delicious like the taste if the ocean!

After we finished we went on to check more foodstalls and continued our search for the perfect dish to eat here.

Coming across a wide variety of foods as shown in the photo's below .

The heat and the long towards the market got us hungry and my wifey was (being a Filipino) obviously craving for seafood 😂😂

So our hunt for the perfect dish intensified.

After a short while we came to a place called Ramblero .

People were literally lining up to get a spot around the bar where the food got served.

Which is always a good sign when looking for amazing food.

We checked around a bit to see what others were eating , and our eyes got drawed in to a huge 1 PERSON!!! Seafood platter.

And believe me people. We werent dissapointed!

After a short wait , the waitress came walking to us with a lovely smile (she knew what was coming 😂😂) and an even more lovely platter of deliciousness !! And it was very close or our platter of goodness got knocked out of her hands infront of our gloomy eyes.

I think the smile of my wifey speaks more then a 1000 words 😃 .

The plate was filled with large Gamba's , Lagoustines , Scallops , Mussles and a salad with such amazing olive oil .

This was supposed to be a 1 person platter , which costed us 33 euro's . Pretty expensive , but it was worth the experience without a doubt and the quality of the food was high.

After we finished our dish we decided to look for something refreshing to finish the meal.

We went for some smoothies and took a little rest.

One more thing that i just had to try.

The famous Iberico Jamon. A very thin sliced ham of a special breed of black Pig.

It tasted lamiiiii (delicious) .
