Split & Hvar, Croatia

Hi SteemIt! I wanted to share a few pictures from visiting the beautiful cities of Split and Hvar in Croatia.

I loved the arches and alleyways of the old city centers. It made exploring exciting because there were beautiful angles and contrasts at every turn, and you'd often find fun surprises down unmarked streets like this little gallery.

Outside of the city, there were a series of cliffs striped and striated with shades of red and black and white. They made a beautiful contrast to the incredibly clear and blue water of the Adriatic.

I was constantly amazed by how clean and clear the water was (although being able to see the spiky, poisonous black sea urchins ten feet below me made me nervous!)

Finally, the Croatians had an excellent sense of humor, which always makes a place fun to visit!
