Dole Plantation: The Pineapple Experience
Aloha everyone!
Located north of Oahu, the Dole Plantation is a very popular tourist attraction and it gives information about the plantation of Hawaii as well as how different food is produced here. You can think of Cocao, sugar canes, bananas, coconuts, coffee beans, and pineapples of course.
The Dole plantation is divided in four divisions: The souvenir shop + restaurant(including famous dole whip ice), the maze(biggest maze worldwide), the dole express(a tour through the plantation), a garden tour with hawaiian plants.
The souvenir shop was quite big and consisted of a restaurant with their famous ice cream as well, the souvenir shop consisted of foremost local (food) products such as cookies, fruit candy, and chocolate as well as general souvenirs.
You had to go through the shop to get to the other attractions which is fun though. Outside an explanation of the activities plus the prices of them can be seen.
- The Pineapple Express
It was a nice and educative tour through the Dole plantation and before this tour I thought we only were going to see pineapples. They produce actually a lot of different fruits. They give also some frequently asked question answers through a board. I personally think the pineapple is the cutest fruit plant ever!
FINALLY!!!! Tasting the most delicious fruit ice cream ever! The taste is really amazing and you get a lot which is definitely enough for two persons! See me enjoying the ice cream waiting for the bus haha.
This was our pineapple experience! We liked the pineapple express most as it was an informative tour and you really got to see the plantation. The maze was sort of a game but we didn't played it, we just walked through the maze which indeed was big. The garden was nice as well, with a lot of different plants.
