Middle Tennessee Waterfalls Part 1: Twin Falls
So we have decided to visit as many waterfalls in middle Tennessee as possible! Wowza, are we off to a super start!
Twin falls waterfall is located about two hours outside of Nashville in Rock island state park.
This waterfall can be seen from one of the trail entrances, so it's a great Falls to enjoy for those of all abilities. There are several trails near by for those who would like to get a nice hike in.
There were some folks enjoying the rapids in thier kayaks which looked like a challenge. The area was dog friendly with lots of dog so enjoying the trails.
The hike down to the falls was surreal. It is always a treat to be surrounded by nature.
The ions flowing from the falls felt incredible! We got as close to the falls as possible by hiking down the cliff on some large boulders. We got a nice misting of water to cool us off on a hot day!
There was no swimming allowed at the falls. However there was an excellent swimming hole just about a half mile trail away!
After exploring the trails in this southern heat, I was super ready to hop in the water!!
While there are a lot more waterfalls to visit, already looking but forward to coming back to this spot.
So here's to a hapy day, full of sunshine & smiles with my favorite person to adventure with @gomatthew
