Glad you sort of made it there and back okay. You are actually not the first person I have heard of that has gotten lost trying to get a view of the sign. Apparently there is a park that is supposed to give you a great view but doesn't. If you go to this other park that gives no indication it has anything to do with the sign, you get an amazing view. Who knew. I'd take a rattlesnake any day over the critters you guys have down under. At least you get a warning with a rattle snake!
Haha that is so true, there is a warning, something you could miss if you weren't on the ball while hiking in Oz. We have come across many of these critters on our adventures. Generally so long as you stay away ftom them, they will avoid you. So we just take sticks and whack them on the ground while walking. The vibration is often enough to scare them away before you even see them.
