Visited History Channel's "Pawn Stars" Shop in Vegas

I absolutely love the show Pawn Stars! I was thrilled to stop by and see what it was like in real life. And the verdict... it looked like an ordinary pawn shop! I thought it would be fancy, but it is in a sketchy looking part of town, like most pawn shops, and it was not fancy at all. There is a restaurant next door to the pawn shop that the owner has opened up, but we didn't try it out.

Unfortunately, the guys from the show were not there when we went. It was a Sunday afternoon, so I'm sure they were home. However, I did find this cardboard cut out of Rick and we posed with it. Closest thing to the real thing I could get lol!

There was a cool picture someone had made of the Pawn Stars. Below it is a photography of the building when it was originally opened as a furniture store, before it was sold to the pawn shop owners.

There were some really old collector items like the guns below:

There were also really old paintings and old toys:

The inside of the pawn show was pretty narrow. I thought it was a lot larger when I watched it on television, but in real life it isn't as big as I imagined it to be.

However, it was pretty awesome to stop into a place that is filmed and showed on television. I had to have my fan girl moment. I absolutely love to visit places that have been part of television and movies. It is cool to see how things differ in real life. I hope you have enjoyed my post. I like watching that show, too. Lots of information can be gained from that. I haven't watched it recently though. Too bad you didn't get to meet any of the stars. Did you buy anything?

Agreed! It is really interesting and I like how they incorporate a history lesson with everything they buy. No, I didn't buy anything. Just "window shopped" lol.

Lol! At least you were able to visit the place.

Very good travel I like it.
A good post of shop.

Most welcome.

I like that that show too!

That's really cool! Seems like you had a good time too. I would love to visit one day as well but for now i'll have to experience it through your pictures haha. I'v seen the show a couple times, I love the premise of it, kind of like modern day treasure hunters. My parents watch it a lot more than me. I remember one time my mom sent me an autocorrect message that said her and my dad were watching porn stars lol! I'm really glad it was just the iphone autocorrect....

I'm glad I could entertain you with my photos. I laughed when you said your mom sent you a text saying she was watching porn stars. How embarrassing lol!?! I am sure that was not the image you wanted to have. So how have you been? You kind of went MIA for a second. I started to wonder if you quit steemit.

Haha it's even funnier because they're very religious so I got a detailed message about how it was an auto-correct afterwards :P Sorry I about being MIA, I don't think I'll be able to catch up on all your posts now but I'll try to check out a few of the more recent ones!
