Nestled in the mountains surrounding the city of Cusco (the ancient Incan capital) at an elevation of 3,764m (12,350 ft) this place will blow your mind.
It is a testament to sheer ingenuity, skill and adaptability.
In addition to the craftsmanship of the site, the view of the surrounding mountains is breathtakingly beautiful, as the following images will show.
Those steps are elongated slabs, going deep into the foundations of the terracing.
This water feature is beautiful enough, but where is the water coming from?
As with all similar water features at sites around Cusco, these pipe ways continue underground to various reservoirs. Some elders, and Shamans maintain that at some sites, these go as far as the snow capped mountains to collect the thaw outs.

I miss it terribly and can't wait to go back.
How long did you spend there?
I was in Peru for 5 weeks and my current plan is to move there at the end of 2019. Thus why I am so excited about the opportunity that steemit offers, in that I can build it up here and still take it with me when I move.
Very nice mate hope it works out for you. Yes i love the opportunity that steemit opens up to us. If you can get a good income happening from steemit hopefully you can move there and be able to suport youself.
