Good on you @neeqi , I got the same reactions when travelling to Peru, and Bolivia. I too though see know sense in taking 2nd hand advice, as the saying goes, you don't ask broke people for financial advice, this is no different. You should have a chat with @churdtzu , he lived in Mexico for 2 years :)

I think it's valuable to hear what others have to say but definitely don't let it dictate all of your decisions. There is no wiser truth than your own intuition. And I just started following him after hearing his rap tag vid!
