Ancient City is a museum park constructed by Lek Viriyaphant. Ancient Siam is dubbed as the world's largest outdoor museum.

The grounds of Ancient Siam correspond roughly to the shape of the kingdom, with the monuments lying at their correct places geographically. Some of the buildings are life-size replicas of existing or former sites, while others are scaled down.

The Ancient City is the door opening to the heritage of Thai wisdom. With a wide range of architectural symbols combined with fine arts and craftsmanship, structural layout and natural environment that integrate harmoniously, The Ancient City creates kind of atmosphere that induces visitors to perceive and appreciate the continuity of history, cultures, religions, arts and customs of Thai people from dawn until now.

Just a visit to the Ancient City is comparable to a Thailand-round journey within a day.
The layout preserves the pattern of traditional Thai lifestyles, which is hard to behold nowadays.

How to visit :
when you there you have a few way to visit the Ancient City

1- way if you have your own car pay the ticket and drive in the City and you would be on your way to see the beauty of this City, I think is a good way because you are on your own time and can stop were you like at your pleasure.

2- Rent a Bike and go , same like the car the only difference is that depending on the time of the year you go it can be very hot and humid, so I think not the best way but yes you still on your own and at your own time.

3- Take the small bus, tour last 3 hours you see most of the City but not all, and you are not on your time so it is kind an easy way but not the best. We choice this way and it was ok you just have to make the best of what you have.

Last bad not list many Hotels that sell Tour Package , sell a Package that includes the same day The Erawan Museum and The Ancient City, I do not suggest this because it feels to much for one day and overwhelming ( even if the Erawan Museum don’t take so long to visit you can visit in about 2 hours ) my suggestion is get a bit adventurist and do the tour by your self you would enjoy much more your own plane than the planed for you. We visited the 2 places in 2 different days and we really enjoy it.

How to get there :

Located in the neighborhood of Bangkok, only one-hour travel, the Ancient City is accessible by many convenient routes. The best way and cheapest is to take the BTS Skytrain ( Look for the closest station to were you are ) and go to the Bearing station from there a quick 20 minutes Taxi ride costing about 120 THB and you would be there, you can do the same to go back, you would find the Taxi by the exit gate.
