The Aquila is the Newest Super-Villa in Phuket & its Epic!
Completed in December 2016, The Aquila is the latest edition to the Phuket luxury villa rental market. Taking over ten years in its conception, design and construction, this property sets a new benchmark in luxury that will amaze all who are fortunate enough to pass through its doors and I was lucky enough to spend 4 wonderful days here with my family and friends.
THE AQUILA
Perched high upon a cliff-face and surrounded by natural vegetation on all sides, the 7 bedroom Aquila is the embodiment of privacy. As you gaze over the secluded bay in front, the Andaman sea stretches, undisturbed to the horizon and you will feel like you just might be on the edge of the World. The magnificent waterfront property stretches across several acres and contains over 3500 metres of living area, tastefully designed in a modern-Thai style, which spread over multiple pavilions on the estate.
THE MAIN PAVILLION
The main pavilion contains the Villa’s own luxury spa, exclusively available for guests. This building also houses the exquisitely decorated reception, library, dining and living rooms, as well as the kitchens and wine cellar. All rooms on the ground floor open directly onto the pool area via floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors. The 30 metre infinity edge pool blends seamlessly with the azure ocean behind it for a stunning visual effect. Providing one of the best vantage points to enjoy a cold drink as nature provides a sunset, at either end of the pool are Thai-style Salas, which are open-sided structures for eating or relaxing.
THE STAIRCASE & GAMES ROOM
If you make your way down the magnificent spiral staircase you will find yourself in what can only be described as the ultimate casual entertaining room. From the stocked bar, complete with your favourite beer on tap, to two massive flat screen televisions for sport and a red-felt pool table, there is something for everyone. Punching bags, weights and gym equipment can be found in the adjoining gymnasium.
LUXURY
The majority of the guestrooms are located in the 2-storey pavilion beside the main pavilion. Every guest-room has magnificent ocean views, ensuite bathroom and luxury fittings throughout. Master bedrooms also contain waterfall showers and luscious plunge baths.
PRIVATE & SECURE
The villa is located securely inside a gated complex and includes round the clock security, on-site management, chef and service staff. With its spacious surrounds and luxurious finish the Aquila is ideally suited for hosting large groups of family or friends who want to experience the best that Phuket can provide.
SIMPLY THE BEST
This is without a doubt the most beautiful property I have ever seen. It takes the best aspects of Phuket and makes them better. It's not cheap, but then again good things rarely are.
