Around the World Twice on a Motorcycle
Today I'm gonna tell you more about a person I really admire. A man who has not just inspired me, but tons of people around the world. Especially bikers and travellers. He had ridden around the World Twice.
In 1973 Ted Simon rode his motorcycle for 4 years covering 1,03,000kms through 45 countries, the stories from his ride are documented in Jupiter Travels.
When at 70 years old in 2001 Ted rode around the World again in 3 years... He is such an inspiration for all of us that dream to travel around the world and shows no matter the time or age. If you dream it and work hard you can do it...I was privileged to spend 4 days listening to his stories at the Overland Expo and it was special getting my book signed by him.

It is amazing achievement, more than 1 million miles and 45 countries from 195 of them...
But to be honest, that's not something that I would like to do even for a million $'s...
Why wouldn't you wanna do something like this?
I don't see myself driving a bike for that long. That's about ~3.5 years of his life that he spent driving only.
Driving a bike is an awesome thing, but driving that long is just not for me
