Preparing for Holiday from Traveling / Vorbereitung auf Urlaub vom Reisen
I´m just packing my stuff for our 1 month Holiday on Bali which will start tomorrow. We´re flying out from Brisbane tomorrow afternoon and will land on Bali tomorrow night.
While packing I realized again that I do not have much stuff and that I am really happy about that. The photo shows everything I own at the moment excluding a Car we own here in Australia but that doesn´t count.
Ich packe gerade meine Sachen für unseren 1-monatigen Urlaub auf Bali, der morgen beginnt. Wir fliegen morgen früh von Brisbane ab und landen morgen Nacht auf Bali.
Beim Packen habe ich wieder gemerkt, dass ich nicht viel habe und dass ich mich darüber sehr freue. Das Foto zeigt alles, was ich im Moment besitze, außer ein Auto, das wir hier in Australien besitzen, aber das zählt nicht.
On our first bigger journey I was traveling with a 60+ Liter Backpack through Thailand with long Jeans and two Hoodies. Today I think...how stupid was that? It is so much more comfortable to travel Lightweight. The Backpack on the Photo fits into the Cabin, which will speed up the process at the destination airport.
The other reason we travel Lightweight is very simple...I do not need more than the stuff on the photo. Why own 20 T-shirts if you can only wear one at the same time? 😉
The less stuff you own the less you have to worry about.
Auf unserer ersten größeren Reise reiste ich mit einem 60+ Liter Rucksack durch Thailand mit langen Jeans und zwei Hoodies. Heute denke ich ... wie dumm war das? Es ist so viel komfortabler, Leicht zu reisen. Der Rucksack auf dem Foto passt in die Kabine, so dass keine Probleme und Wartezeiten am Gepäckstück entstehen.
Der andere Grund, warum wir Leicht reisen, ist sehr einfach ... Ich brauche nicht mehr als die Sachen auf dem Foto. Warum besitzt man 20 T-Shirts, wenn man nur eins tragen kann? 😉
Je weniger Zeug man besitzt, desto weniger muss man sich Sorgen machen.
Viel Spaß in Bali! Ich hab gehört, da soll alles voll mit Bogans sein, die von Australien aus da Urlaub machen. Pass also auf, dass du selbst keiner von denen wirst ;)

vielen dank liebe @akashas. wir gehen sowieso wieder 4 wochen an unseren Lieblingsspot Canggu. Evtl. paar Tage nach Nusa Lembongan. Wird gemacht. Hab mich jetzt 6 wochen geschont und auf Bali gehts wieder surfen. 🤙
Have fun! We briefly visited Indonesia last year and it was the most incredible place we'd ever been to, I'm so jealous of you having 4 weeks out there! Enjoy! And yes, travelling light is the best way to go!!
thanks @skiesandsports, we will! love it there. its my 7th time already, but probably the last time for a while. need to discover some other places as well.
